Temperature 15-16°C, Wind south or south-southwest 32-54mph with localised gusts of 65mph, becoming 28-50mph by evening. Rainfall 0-1mm through daylight hours”

The 09.00 Red Funnel vehicle ferry from East Cowes to Southampton has been “cancelled due to essential maintenance required on Red Osprey’s aft engine.”
