Good morning, everyone. It’s going to be a sunny but very cold Wednesday with temperatures between 0 and 6 degrees C, accompanied by light to moderate WNW winds.
There is a risk for black ice on our roads this morning, so please drive carefully. Island Roads gritted the main roads overnight.
Hover Travel services were suspended overnight due to a technical issue. Services will resume at 07.45 from Ryde and 08.00 from Southsea.
From the Floating Bridge website:
“There will be a service suspension between the hours of 09:00 hours to 18:00 hours on Wednesday the 20th November 2024. This is to enable the replacement of three guide wheels and a prow ram cylinder. A launch service will be in place for pedestrians and cyclists during this time.”
All other island travel services appear to be running to schedule, as of 07.30 this morning, and there are no further reported problems with either our roads or traffic.
