Good morning, everyone! The Met Office is forecasting a mostly cloudy day through until 16.00, when the sun should re-appear in earnest. Temperatures will range from 6 to 13 degrees C, accompanied by light to moderate ENE winds.
An 07.00 motorcycle accident has caused the closure of Whiterails Road.
Island Echo is reporting the road as closed but my wife and son are currently on that road and have just passed the accident area, so it seems the police have cleared the road sufficiently and traffic is moving again, albeit slowly.
Southern Vectis Route 5 and 9 buses are diverting via Long Lane and Briddlesford Road back to Morton Common Crossroads.
All island travel services appear to be running to schedule, as of 07.30 this morning, and there are no further reported problems with either our roads or traffic.
