Good morning, everyone! After a cloudy and drizzly morning, the Met Office is forecasting broken cloud and sun from midday onwards. Temperatures will range from 19 to 21 degrees C, accompanied by light WSW winds.
Via County Press: The Coppins Bridge end of Staplers Road, and Snooks Hill, are due to close from 7pm this evening. A traffic notice states the road will reopen at 6am on Thursday, September 17, or when the work is finished.
The main road between Arreton and Blackwater is closing this morning for the second week of bus stop improvements. As planned, the road had reopened over the weekend but is now shutting once again. Last week saw lengthy queues along Long Lane, as a result. Drivers are urged to leave extra time for their journeys.
All other island travel services appear to be running to schedule, as of 08.30 this morning, and there are no further reported problems with either our roads or traffic.
