HOW DO WE CONSTRUCT OUR FRIENDLY CABS MORNING SUMMARY POSTS?

TUESDAY 04/03/2025 – AN UPCOMING TALK TO THE STUDENTS OF ST. GEORGE’S SEN SCHOOL IN NEWPORT

This Friday I’m very much looking forward to chatting to one of the classes at St George’s SEN School about the life and work of a taxi driver. Apparently, one of the students in this class is passionate about one day becoming a taxi driver, so I’ll be giving them some information on what it entails, how to become one and answering lots of their questions! A LOVELY DAY WITH WESSEX REGIONAL CARE AND MARGERET’S WONDERFUL DRAWINGS!

Last year I had the privilege of driving the lovely ladies and gents from Wessex Regional Care.

DO FRIENDLY CABS HAVE A BOOKING APP?

No, we don’t! Whilst learning the taxi trade, I worked for two companies, one of which used an island based app. I found the app to be unreliable, both for customers and taxi drivers.

On multiple occasions I would arrive at the booked destination to find the customer had left without cancelling the booking. At other times I heard of drivers accepting a booking but not fulfilling it.
