Good morning, everyone! The Met Office is promising a fairly dreary day with light rain expected through until 15.00, after which we may get an hour or so of broken cloud before darkness sets in. Temperatures will hover around 12 to 13 degrees C, accompanied by moderate and variable S winds, with localised gusts of up to 50mph. That said, it looks like we’ll at least escape the worst of Storm Bram, which is currently ravaging the North and West of the UK.
All island travel services appear to be running to schedule, as of 07.30 this morning, and there are no reported problems with either our roads or traffic. I’d expect the Hover Service to be impacted by the winds at some point today, so worth checking their website before heading to their terminal in Ryde.
