Good morning, everyone! After a cloudy but mostly dry morning, the Met Office is forecasting a soggy afternoon, with rain expected between 14.00 and 21.00. Temperatures will range from 11 to 18 degrees C, accompanied by moderate and variable S winds.
There is Yellow warning for high winds in place between 20.00 this evening to 18.00 tomorrow evening:
“Strong west or southwesterly winds will arrive across coastal areas of southwest England and Wales during Sunday evening, then develop more widely inland during Monday morning. Gusts of 45-55 mph are expected widely inland, with gusts of 60-70 mph possible at times along exposed coasts and hills. Winds will only slowly ease from the west later in the afternoon and into Monday evening.”
All island travel services appear to be running to schedule, as of 07.30 this morning, and there are no reported problems with either our roads or traffic.
