Good morning, everyone! After a cloudy morning, the Met Office is forecasting rain from 13.00 onwards, becoming heavier during the late evening and night. Temperatures will range from a slightly warmer 8 to 11 degrees C, due to the moderate SSW winds, which will become stronger as the day goes on, with localised gusts of up to 50mph. A Yellow Warning for heavy rain will come into force at midnight tonight and run through until 21.00 on Thursday (18/12).
Temporary boarding restrictions at the Fast Cat Portsmouth Harbour have now been lifted, meaning customers can once again board with wheelchairs, mobility scooters, bicycles, prams, and pushchairs.
All island travel services appear to be running to schedule, as of 08.45 this morning, and there are no reported problems with either our roads or traffic. We would , however, expect the Hover Service to be affected by strong winds on the Solent during the late afternoon, so worth keeping an eye on the Hover Travel website if you’re planning to use the service today.
Friendly Cabs is open and operating normally. We wish you all a wonderful Wednesday! 01983 506975
