Good morning, folks! Sunbathing on the beach probably won’t be on most folk’s radar today, as the Met Office forecasts plenty of rain along with a large dollop of wind! 😁 Rain is expected from 10.00 onwards, accompanied by moderate and variable S winds, with localised gusts of up to 48mph. Those S winds, however, are bringing warmer air to the island, with temperatures expected to range from 5 degrees C in the morning, steadily increasing to 11 by 23.00.

“Dear passengers Sunday 11/01/2026 at 14:00 Hours to 18:00 Hours there will be a service suspension. A launch service will be in place during this time on Sunday for pedestrians and cyclists.”
All island travel services appear to be running to schedule, as of 09.00 this morning, and there are no reported problems with either our roads or traffic.
