A CLOUDY START TO A WARM AND SUNNY SATURDAY – 28/06/2025

Good morning, everyone! After a cloudy start the Met Office is forecasting a warm and sunny day from 11.00 onwards. Temperatures will fluctuate between  18 and 23 degrees C, accompanied by moderate WSW winds.

“Horsebridge Hill full road closures in light of the full road closures at Horsebridge Hill on the last weekend of June and First weekend of July we will be operating to an earlier service start time of 05:30Hours on Sunday 29th June and on Sunday 6th July.”

⚠ Horsebridge Hill Weekend Road Closure ⚠
For the weekend of 28 / 29 June and 5 / 6 July there will be a full road closure on Horsebridge Hill. During the closure Route 1 will serve St Mary’s Hospital in both directions from / to Forest Road using the normal diversion to Cowes / Newport. In addition we will be operating a shuttle service that will will loop from Cowes to Chapel Corner using Noke Common to face in the right direction without drivers having to reverse. Space will be limited on the shuttle.

All other island travel services appear to be running to schedule, as of 08.00 this morning, and there are no further reported problems with either our roads or traffic.
