Good evening, everyone! We just wanted to update you on our new Winter opening times and this year’s Christmas holiday period.
We’re finding that Saturdays during Winter are very slow days with normally 1 to 3 bookings and very few call ins during the day. Because we currently have one driver who works 12 hours, 6 days a week (namely myself), we’ve decided to close on Saturdays and instead open Monday to Friday, 06.00 to 18.00. A 60 hour week during the Winter covers 95% of what we’re asked to do.
That said, if you need a taxi on a Saturday/Sunday for a long trip, please do call us and if we can’t accommodate the trip ourselves, we’ll happily try to facilitate it with a friend of ours who works mostly weekends and evenings.
Finally, because we cover so many SEN student contracts, the only times we can close and take a break are during the school holidays. I have a lovely wife and 16 y/o son myself and need to spend time with them, too. For that reason, this year we will close at the end of play on Friday 20/12/2024 and will re-open on Monday 06/01/2025.
