Good morning, everyone! Two Met Office weather warnings are now active for strong winds and heavy rain, brought to us by Storm Herminia. Both warnings will remain in place until tomorrow. Heavy rain, hail and strong SSW winds are expected throughout the day with gusts of up to 70mph in places. Temperatures are expected to fluctuate between 7 and 8 degrees C.

“Services are cancelled due to adverse weather. The next update will be 09.45. Tickets will be accepted on the Wightlink Fast Cat Service. Please see our Disruption Contingency Plan web page.”
The following Red Funnel vehicle ferry sailings have been “cancelled due to adverse weather exceeding Red Osprey’s operating limits.”
The 10:30 and 13:30 sailings from Southampton, as well as the 09.00, 12:00 and 15:00 sailings from East Cowes are all cancelled.
The Floating Bridge is still out of service.
All other island travel services appear to be running to schedule, as of 08.15 this morning, and there are no reported problems with either our roads or traffic.
