A WARM AND SUNNY THURSDAY – 19/09/2024

Good morning, everyone. It looks like we’re in for another warm and sunning day, with temperatures ranging from 16 to 24 degrees C, accompanied by moderate NE (becoming ENE) winds.

Red Funnel has cancelled the following vehicle ferries this morning:

07.00 from Southampton “cancelled due to a technical issue with the generator on Red Falcon.”

08.30 from East Cowes “cancelled due to a technical issue with the generator on Red Falcon.”

We’re unsure as to whether further cancellations will ensue throughout the day.

WightLink’s Portsmouth/Fishbourne ferries are currently running but with delays.

The following Portsmouth/Fishbourne vehicle ferries are all delayed. No reason has been published but one media outlet is suggesting “lower than expected tides” as the cause.

From Portsmouth
07.00 – delayed by 40 minutes

08.00 – delayed by 10 minutes

From Fishbourne
06.10 – delayed by 50 minutes
07.00 – delayed by 30 minutes
07.40 – delayed by 20 minutes

08.20 – delayed by 30 minutes

All other island travel services appear to be running to schedule, as of 06.45 this morning and there are no further reported problems with either roads or traffic.

Friendly Cabs is open and operating normally. We wish you all a terrific Thursday! 01983 506975
