Good morning everyone! The Met Office is promising us a mostly sunny Saturday with temperatures ranging from 18 to 22 degrees C, accompanied by moderate WSW winds.
The major Red Funnel vehicle ferry disruption should now be over, with their reduced timetable ending at midnight yesterday. Be aware that a further reduction in service will come into place tomorrow (11/08). From the RF website:
“To allow for essential maintenance on Red Osprey, the following sailings will now operate as “freight only” on Red Kestrel on Sunday 11 August.
Dept Southampton: 05:00
Dept East Cowes: 06:30
We will have no capacity for foot passengers or unbooked traffic on either of these sailings. All affected bookings have been moved to the nearest available sailing and contacted.”
All other island travel services appear to be running to schedule, as of 07.30 this morning and there are no newly reported problems with roads or traffic thus far.
Friendly Cabs is now closed until Monday 12/08/2024 but we will be servicing all existing bookings.
