Argyll Street in Ryde is shutting today for 10 days to allow Island Roads to carry out highway reconstruction work. The street will be closed to through traffic between Argyll Place and West Street, with the closures being in place for 24 hours for security reasons.
From the Southern Vectis Buses Twitter feed:
“Route 62 – Owing to the Avenue Road closure in Sandown, the 07:12 Route 62 will start service from College Close (Jewsons) and not Yarbridge Cross. Yarbridge Cross & Devonia will not be served. Please use the College Close stop as an alternative.”
All other island travel services appear to be running to schedule, as of 06.15 this morning and there are no further reported problems with either our roads or traffic.
