Good morning, everyone. After a mild start, the Met Office is predicting a mostly cloudy day from 10.00 onwards, with the possibility of some patchy rain showers after 15.00. Temperatures will fluctuate between 9 and 13 degrees C, accompanied by light N winds.
Works on Medina Way, Newport are due to commence between 05.30 and 10.00 this morning. A notice published by Island Roads said during this time: “No person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Medina Way, Newport, Northbound and Southbound between St Mary’s junction and slip roads between its junctions with Dodnor Lane and its junction with Parkhurst Road.” A diversion route will be in place and will be signposted locally.
All island travel services appear to be running to schedule, as of 06.15 this morning, and there are no further reported problems with either our roads or traffic.
