A MISTY AND WET START TO MONDAY – 02/09/2024

Good morning, everyone. It’s been a misty and wet start to Monday and that may continue sporadically throughout the day until early evening, when we may see some sun again. Temperatures are set to fluctuate between 16 and 19 degrees C, accompanied by light SW winds.

The following Red Funnel freight ferries have been cancelled “due to limited crew availability”.

From Southampton

10.25 and 13.25

From East Cowes

08.55 and 11.55

This may impact you if you’re waiting for parcels to arrive from the mainland.

We’re unsure if crew availability will lead to further cancellations later in the day.

Avenue Road in Sandown has closed this morning for two months. It’s now shut in both directions, from its junction with Tamar Close to its junction with Perowne Way.

All other island travel services appear to be running to schedule, as of 08.30 this morning and there are no further reported problems with either roads or traffic, thus far.

Friendly Cabs is open and operating normally. We wish you all an amazing Monday! 01983 506975
