Good morning, everyone! The Met Office is promising a damp start to the day, with rain forecast throughout the morning and into the afternoon, clearing around 16.00. We can then expect some sunny spells before cloud takes over during the night. Temperatures should fluctuate between 16 and 18 degrees C, accompanied by moderate to high SW winds with gusts of up to 46mph.
WightLink has cancelled the 07.40 Fishbourne to Portsmouth vehicle ferry, citing the “absence of a crew member” being the reason.
From the Floating Bridge website:
“Thursday 22nd August 2024. The Floating Bridge service will be suspended between the hours of 10:00 and 12:00 this is to replace a hinge pin on the West prow. A launch will be in place for pedestrians and cyclists.”
All other island travel services appear to running to schedule, as of 06.45 this morning.
