Good morning, everyone! The Met Office is promising another lovely, sunny day! Temperatures will fluctuate between 7 and 15 degrees C, accompanied by light E winds.
Coinciding with the first day of the school Easter holidays, Red Funnel has cancelled a plethora of vehicle ferry sailings.
Thus far published:
From Southampton: 08.00, 09.00, 11.00, 12.00 and 14.00 all cancelled (edit – the 09.00 and 12.00 are delayed, not cancelled)
From East Cowes: 09.30, 10.30, 12.30 and 13.30 all cancelled (edit – the 10.30 and 13.30 are delayed, not cancelled)
We expect the same pattern of cancellations throughout the rest of the day if previous days are anything to go by. This is likely to lead to long delays for the few sailings that are not cancelled, as Red Funnel tries to catch up.
All other island travel services appear to be running to schedule, as of 08.45 this morning, and there are no reported problems with either our roads or traffic.
Friendly Cabs is open and operating normally. We wish you all a fabulous Friday! 01983 506975
