Good morning everyone. The Met Office is promising us a lovely, sunny day after our Thursday drenching, with temperatures between 15 and 21 degrees C accompanied by light WSW winds.
Red Funnel has cancelled the following vehicle ferries this morning:
From Southampton the 07.00 and 10.00 are cancelled.
From East Cowes the 08.30 and 11.30 are cancelled.
All other island travel services appear to be running to schedule, as of 08.00 this morning.
It has been confirmed that the junction at Yarbridge has re-opened to through traffic, although access to Hornsey Rise (onto The Downs) remains closed as engineers continue to work to fix the gas leak. Temporary traffic lights are still in place at the junctions of New Road, Morton Common and Marshcombe Shute, so motorists should still expect some element of delay. Hornsey Rise will remain closed until further notice, with no time frame given as to how long this section of road will remain closed for.
