Good morning, everyone! This week looks like being a stunner, weatherise, and today will be no exception, with blue skies and sunshine throughout the day. Temperatures will fluctuate between 8 and 14 degrees C, accompanied by light E winds.
The 09.00 WightLink vehicle ferry from Fishbourne to Portsmouth is delayed by 25 minutes.
The 10.00 from Portsmouth to Fishbourne is also delayed by 25 minutes.
Island Roads will be closing the High Street in Sandown (for utility works) from 08.00 this morning. The High Street will be closed between the junctions of St John’s Road and Melville Street. Southern Gas Network will be carrying out work to install a new service connection and to “locate issues with valves on main and lay service”, to 11-13 High Street. It is expected to re-open on Friday 04/04 at 18.00.
The Floating Bridge remains out of service due to an annual refit.
All other island travel services appear to be running to schedule, as of 08.30 this morning, and there are no further reported problems with either our roads or traffic.
